Stewart’s Shops Recalls Two Ice Cream Flavors After Metal Object Found
Stewart’s Shops has recalled two half-gallon ice cream flavors after a consumer discovered a metal object in a carton. The company announcement was posted by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on October 2.
The recall covers Heavenly Medley with a February 10, 2027 best-by date and Vanilla-Chocolate-Strawberry with a February 11, 2027 best-by date. The products were sold at Stewart’s Shops locations in New York, Vermont and New Hampshire between July 17 and October 2, 2026.
No injuries or illnesses had been reported
The company said no injuries or illnesses had been reported in connection with the issue at the time of the announcement. Consumers who purchased the identified products were instructed not to consume them and to return them for a refund.
This is a physical-hazard recall rather than a microbiological contamination event. Its scope should remain tied to the two named products and distribution area in the official notice.
