United Food Group is expanding its commercial beverage equipment platform with new configurable dispensers aimed at foodservice, convenience stores and office coffee operators. The Illinois based company said one of its newest machines can offer as many as 24 selections across hot drinks and condiments.

The selection can include cappuccinos, lattes, coffee, hot chocolate and cream, with an integrated sugar and sweetener dispenser. United Food Group also sells dry powder beverage products, flavored creamers and micro ground coffee, allowing the equipment and consumables to be supplied as a combined system.

The company says its equipment is designed to replace some traditional bag in box liquid coffee and cream systems with shelf stable soluble products. It claims the dry products can have a two year shelf life and can reduce storage, freight and waste costs, although operators should calculate savings using their own product volumes, service costs and waste rates.

Configurability is a central part of the commercial pitch. United Food Group says an operator can change a dispenser from liquid cream service to cappuccino and hot cocoa by changing products and updating digital labels and videos, allowing one machine platform to be redeployed as menu requirements change.

The company has also expanded its equipment range through a relationship with Dr. Coffee, a manufacturer of commercial bean to cup systems. That gives United Food Group a broader offering across soluble beverage dispensing and freshly ground coffee formats rather than relying on a single machine architecture.

For commercial buyers, the relevant comparison is total operating cost rather than the number of selections alone. Ingredient cost, cleaning requirements, refill labor, equipment uptime, service coverage and product waste will determine whether a high selection dispenser is more economical than separate coffee, cream and condiment stations in a specific location.
