SIG Neo Filling Line Reaches 32,000 Aseptic Cartons an Hour Across Nine Pack Sizes

Updated: 5 days ago
SIG has added two high-speed aseptic carton filling machines to its Neo platform, targeting food and beverage producers that need more throughput without expanding factory floor space.
The SIG Neo XSlim 32 Aseptic is rated to fill 32,000 single-serve SIG XSlimBloc cartons per hour across nine pack sizes. The SIG Neo Midi 15 Aseptic is rated at 15,000 multi-serve cartons per hour across SIG MidiBloc and SIG MidiFit formats, with three pack sizes available for each format.
SIG says output per square meter rises by one-third
The company says the new machines increase both total output and output per square meter by one-third compared with its standard filling machines for the relevant formats while retaining a compact footprint.
Operators can change pack sizes or formats in less than 15 minutes without changing machine parts, according to SIG. That matters for plants running multiple SKUs, where changeover time can erase some of the value of high headline filling speeds.
The numbers are manufacturer-rated performance
SIG also claims waste below 0.5%, digital performance tools and sterile-airflow improvements through its Neo Shield system. Those figures are manufacturer specifications rather than independent plant-level performance studies, so actual economics will depend on product, maintenance, operators, packaging mix and line integration.
For processors facing space constraints, the important proposition is capacity density: more packs per hour and more format flexibility without building a larger filling hall. Whether that lowers total cost will depend on capital price, utilization and downstream line capacity.
