Rovensa Next has secured R$45 million in financing from Brazil's Funding Authority for Studies and Projects, FINEP, to accelerate agricultural biosolutions research and development in the country.

The financing is directed toward new work in adjuvants, bionutrition and biocontrol, three areas that have become increasingly important as growers and crop input companies look for tools that can complement conventional fertilizers and crop protection products.

Brazil is already one of the world's most important markets for biological agricultural inputs. Rovensa Next has been expanding its research infrastructure there, including a pilot fermentation plant designed to help move microbial products from laboratory development toward industrial scale production.

The new funding gives the company additional capacity to develop and validate technologies locally. That matters because biological products often need to perform across different crops, climates, soils and production systems before they can be deployed at commercial scale.

For the wider crop input industry, the investment is another sign that biologicals are moving deeper into mainstream research budgets rather than remaining a small specialist category. Large agricultural markets such as Brazil provide both the acreage and the technical conditions needed to test whether those products can deliver consistent results.

Rovensa Next said the FINEP financing will support its broader innovation strategy in Brazil, where the company is working across biocontrol, plant nutrition and technologies intended to improve input efficiency.
