The Ooni Koda 2 Max is a 24-inch gas-powered outdoor pizza oven listed at $1,299 on Ooni’s U.S. website when checked on September 27, 2026. The product page showed the oven as out of stock at that time, so the price is current manufacturer information rather than a promise of immediate availability.

Its central selling point is capacity. Ooni describes a 24 by 21-inch cooking stone that can accommodate one 20-inch New York-style pizza, two 12-inch pizzas or three 10-inch pizzas at the same time. That makes the model more relevant to frequent entertainers and small hospitality settings than to buyers who mainly cook a single compact pizza.

Two independently controlled burners create separate heat zones across the stone. Ooni lists an operating range from 210°F to 950°F, allowing a lower-temperature item on one side while another cooks at higher heat. The manufacturer says the oven can produce a Neapolitan-style pizza in as little as 60 seconds once properly heated.

The included Ooni Connect digital temperature hub adds Bluetooth monitoring. Its front display tracks ambient oven temperature and works with food probes, while the Ooni app can show readings, log cooking sessions and send alerts. One food probe is included, according to the current product listing.

Buyers can choose between a propane model designed for portable 20-pound tanks and a natural-gas model intended for a fixed gas line. Both versions include a hose and regulator. The fuel choice therefore needs to be settled before purchase rather than treated as an interchangeable accessory decision.

The Koda 2 Max is substantial equipment, not a portable countertop substitute. Ooni lists unboxed dimensions of 31 inches long, 28 inches wide and 17 inches high, with a weight of 95 pounds. Those numbers make a stable outdoor surface, ventilation clearance and a realistic storage plan part of the buying decision.

Construction includes a powder-coated carbon-steel body, stainless-steel internal components, base and legs, and a 0.8-inch cordierite stone. Ooni provides a one-year standard warranty and says registration within 60 days of receipt extends coverage on the Koda 2 Max to five years.

The strongest fit is for buyers who value simultaneous cooking and want gas convenience rather than fire management. The trade-off is cost, footprint and weight. For occasional single-pizza use, a smaller oven may be more practical; for higher-volume outdoor cooking, the dual-zone surface and monitoring system are the features that distinguish the Max.
