Ninja PREPi Turns Its Food-Processor Bowl Into the Storage Container

Updated: Oct 7
SharkNinja has launched the Ninja PREPi, a compact food-preparation system built around a simple change in workflow: the same bowl used for chopping, slicing or shredding becomes the serving and storage container. The PN301 went on sale in the United States on October 2, 2026. This is a product analysis based on the manufacturer’s launch materials and specifications, not a hands-on test.
The PN301 combines a 500-watt motor base with 5-cup and 7-cup bowls, two snap-on storage lids, a chop-and-purée blade, a reversible slicing-and-shredding disc, and a separate crinkle-cut disc. Ninja’s direct product page lists the system at $179.99, while the launch announcement rounded the price to $179. The Midnight Blue and Mango version measures 9.3 by 9.3 by 10 inches and weighs 12.69 pounds.
Its five advertised preparation modes are chopping, puréeing, slicing, shredding and crinkle cutting. A three-part feed chute is intended to accommodate different ingredient sizes. The machine does not claim to replace every full-size processor task: the published configuration does not include a dough blade, and buyers who mainly want large-batch processing may find the 5- and 7-cup bowls more limiting than a conventional 9- to 14-cup machine.
The more distinctive part of PREPi is not the cutting hardware but the container system. Food can be processed, served, covered and refrigerated without being transferred to a separate storage box. That can reduce dishes and wasted refrigerator space for salads, chopped vegetables, dips and meal-prep portions, although the benefit depends on whether users are comfortable dedicating the proprietary bowls to storage between processing jobs.
Dicing is not included with the standard PN301. Ninja sells the PREPi Dicing Kit separately for $59.99, and the six-function PN351 configuration includes dicing for $229.99. That makes the buying decision unusually clear: people who expect to dice regularly would pay only about $50 more for PN351 than for PN301, while adding the separate kit to PN301 brings the combined list price to about $240.
The motor is rated at 500 watts and 120 volts, the cord is 31.5 inches long, and the direct listing carries a one-year limited warranty. The PN301’s two included bowl sizes are a practical differentiator from lower-priced retailer configurations that may include only one 5-cup bowl, so model numbers and box contents deserve a careful check before purchase.
Ninja describes the 500-watt drive as delivering full-size performance, but that is a manufacturer claim rather than an independently verified result. The published materials do not provide comparative throughput, noise, cut-uniformity or durability data. Those are the tests that would determine whether PREPi’s compact form is merely convenient or genuinely competitive with established full-size processors.
For buyers, the strongest case is the combination of compact dimensions, two lidded bowls and five distinct cutting functions—not novelty alone. The official U.S. page listed PN301 at $179.99 at publication and displayed a stock-notification prompt, so immediate availability may vary. The design is most compelling for small households and frequent meal preppers who value fewer transfers and containers more than maximum bowl capacity.
