Seed enhancement company Incotec has completed an upgrade of its Tianjin facility in China, increasing production capacity and bringing China and Asia Pacific focused research, production, sales and marketing teams together at the site.

The company says the renewed operation is designed to improve response times, product quality and lead times as demand grows for seed enhancement technologies in China and the wider region.

Incotec's Tianjin operation is primarily a production facility. The company is positioning the upgraded site to support corn, soybean, sunflower and cotton seed markets, linking local manufacturing with technical development and customer support.

Seed enhancement covers technologies intended to improve seed performance, handling and establishment, including coating, priming and other treatment processes. The commercial value depends on matching treatments to crop, climate and production conditions rather than applying a single formulation across markets.

The Tianjin investment reflects a broader shift in China's seed industry toward crop quality, production efficiency and sustainability alongside yield. Incotec says giving its local team greater control over resources should shorten the path from research and development to field application.

For international seed suppliers, regional production and technical capacity can also reduce the distance between product development and customers, an important factor when treatment requirements vary by crop and geography.
