Fruit Attraction will hold its 18th edition in Madrid from October 6 to 8, 2026, with organizers planning a larger international trade platform for the fresh produce sector. IFEMA Madrid and FEPEX organize the exhibition.

Organizers expect more than 2,500 exhibiting companies to occupy 162,000 square metres of exhibition space. They also project 121,000 trade professionals from more than 150 countries, figures that remain event forecasts until the exhibition takes place.

The International Buyers Program is scheduled to bring 700 major buyers, importers, distributors and purchasing decision makers from more than 50 countries. The initiative is being developed with Spain’s Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, ICEX Spain Trade and Investment, and FEPEX.

China and the United Arab Emirates will participate as Guest Importing Countries. The designation is intended to support trade links with two markets that are important to fresh produce exporters, particularly for companies seeking new retail and distribution relationships.

The exhibition also expects new country participation from markets including Armenia, Australia, Guatemala, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Tanzania and Tunisia. That broader representation can expand the range of origins and buyers available to companies using the event for sourcing and export development.

Fruit Attraction spans growers, exporters, importers, distributors, retailers, logistics providers and agricultural technology companies. Its value depends not only on visitor scale but on concentrating buyers and suppliers from multiple production regions within one commercial setting.

The 2026 program will include the Innovation Hub Awards, specialist congresses and industry forums covering innovation, sustainability and market development. These sessions give the event an intelligence function alongside exhibition stands and scheduled business meetings.

The central test for the 2026 edition will be how effectively the expanded buyer programme converts international participation into durable trading relationships. Final attendance and exhibitor figures should be assessed after the event rather than treating the organizer’s pre event projections as completed results.
