FAO's Rome Food Exhibition Brings 300 Exhibitors From Over 140 Countries

The Food and Agriculture Organization opened its second From Seeds to Foods exhibition at Rome's Circo Massimo on October 8. FAO says more than 300 exhibitors from over 140 countries are participating in a five-day presentation of agriculture, food technologies and new food solutions.
Why this matters
The programme includes approximately 400 products, technologies and innovations spanning crops, livestock, fisheries, forestry, land and water. Six regional pavilions and live food demonstrations present the ways agricultural research connects with processing and consumer markets.
The limits and what happens next
The exhibition runs October 8 to 12, from 10:00 to 19:00, with free public admission. For businesses, the value lies in identifying genuinely transferable technology and commercial contacts rather than assuming that an exhibition appearance signifies a proven product ready for mass deployment.
