CVC Credit has agreed to provide senior debt facilities supporting Peak Rock Capital's acquisition of Dalziel, a UK manufacturer and distributor of seasonings, flavours and other food industry ingredients.

Peak Rock completed its acquisition of J.R. Dalziel Limited in partnership with the Dalziel, Darroch and Dickens families and the company's management team. The existing family shareholders remain meaningful investors in the business.

Dalziel serves industrial food manufacturers, retail butchers and foodservice companies. The company operates four accredited manufacturing facilities and a distribution network across the United Kingdom, combining ingredient manufacturing with meat solutions and food industry supplies.

Peak Rock has said its growth plan includes geographic expansion, customer development, product innovation and additional acquisitions. CVC's credit financing adds institutional debt capital behind that strategy.

The transaction is notable in the food ingredients sector because distributors with formulation capability can sit close to both manufacturers and end markets. That makes product development, technical service and distribution density important alongside manufacturing capacity.

Dalziel has operated for more than 50 years. Peak Rock is positioning the company as a platform for further expansion in food ingredients, while the new CVC facilities support the capital structure behind that ownership transition.
