Charbroil has recalled about 10,605 Bistro Pro electric grills in the United States because the grounding wire for the heating element can disconnect and remove fault protection. The US Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall on September 17, 2026.

The recall includes full size and tabletop Bistro Pro configurations sold in Black, Red, Blackout and Emerald finishes. Nine model numbers are listed, spanning the Electric Grill and Griddle with Charcoal Mode, the Electric Grill with Charcoal Mode and the Tabletop Electric Grill.

Only units carrying manufacturing date codes 2510, 2511 or 2512 are included. Those codes correspond to October, November and December 2025, so the model family name by itself is not enough to determine whether a grill is affected.

The stated hazard is electrical shock. The grounding wire can disconnect from the heating element, which can leave the appliance without its intended fault protection.

No incidents or injuries had been reported when the CPSC notice was issued. The recall is preventive and consumers should still stop using an affected grill until the repair is completed.

The grills were sold from October 2025 through June 2026 for between 150 and 250 dollars. Retailers included Ace Hardware, Lowe’s, Walmart, Wayfair and QVC, along with Amazon and other online sellers.

Charbroil is providing a free repair kit with instructions and tools. Consumers who submit photo documentation of the completed repair can also receive a digital 25 dollar gift card that is valid at participating retailers.

Owners can find the model, serial number and four digit date code on the product label. The label is on the bottom shelf of full size grills and on the side bar of tabletop models, and the CPSC recall number is 26 773.
