Bevi has expanded its commercial beverage platform with a new Signature Countertop machine and its first soda line, BeviPop. The system is available to order in the United States and Canada and is aimed at offices, hotels, schools, gyms and other commercial locations that want a broader beverage menu from one connected dispenser.

The Signature Countertop doubles flavor capacity from four options to eight while keeping the machine in a countertop format. Bevi says the unit includes a 10 inch touchscreen, touchless dispensing, real time system monitoring and its Carbonation Plus Nozzle, which the company says increases carbonation by 18 percent compared with its earlier setup.

BeviPop launches in Root Beer, Orange Cream, Lemon Lime and Blueberry Fizz. Each 12 ounce serving contains 15 calories and 4 grams of sugar, according to the company, with no artificial flavors, sweeteners or dyes. Because the drinks are mixed at the machine, users can combine them with functional add ons such as electrolytes, energy, vitamins and focus ingredients where those options are offered.

The same hardware is also being used to extend Bevi into sports and energy drinks. BeviSport combines the soda base with an electrolyte option, while BeviEnergy adds caffeine. Bevi states that each BeviEnergy serving contains 100 milligrams of caffeine and each BeviSport serving contains 102.5 milligrams of electrolytes.

For commercial operators, the important change is not simply the addition of more flavors. Bevi is trying to turn a water dispenser into a broader beverage platform that can replace multiple packaged drink categories while allowing operators to manage flavor variety, functional ingredients and carbonation from a single connected system.

The business case will depend on location specific volume, service costs, ingredient replenishment and user adoption. For workplaces and hospitality operators already using Bevi equipment, however, the eight flavor countertop model offers a more direct path to adding soda and functional drinks without introducing a separate vending or bottled beverage program.
