Drink Las Vegas Debuts With Four Day Hospitality Programme Across MGM Resorts

Drink Las Vegas has opened its inaugural four day programme across MGM Resorts properties, creating a new hospitality event built around chefs, mixologists, sommeliers, spirits producers and restaurant operators. The festival runs from September 24 through September 27 at ARIA, Bellagio, The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas and Park MGM.
The opening programme at ARIA’s Yucca Pool is hosted by chef and restaurateur Jean Georges Vongerichten and brings together 20 chefs and mixologists for a walk around food and spirits tasting. The organizer lists Shaquille O’Neal and Sammy Hagar among the special guests, alongside operators and beverage professionals from Las Vegas and other major United States markets.
The wider schedule combines signature tastings, paired dining experiences, wine programming, cocktail hours, panels and seminars. That mix positions the debut as more than a consumer tasting festival. It also creates a concentrated showcase for restaurant concepts, premium beverage brands and hospitality talent seeking national visibility.
Drink Las Vegas is hosted by MGM Resorts and produced with a21, an event business whose portfolio includes food and beverage experiences. The use of four large resort properties gives the event access to established kitchens, bars, accommodation and entertainment infrastructure, reducing the logistical constraints that often limit a first year festival.
Pricing also signals an upscale market position. Opening night general admission was listed at $250 and VIP admission at $300, while the organizer’s broader weekend passes target guests seeking multiple curated experiences. Some individual programmes were already marked sold out on the event website as the festival began.
For beverage suppliers, the commercial value lies in direct interaction with bartenders, sommeliers, chefs and high spending consumers. For restaurant groups and hospitality operators, the programme offers a live test of concepts, pairings and branded experiences in one of the world’s most competitive foodservice markets.
The measure of the event’s industry significance will come after the closing weekend. Attendance, repeat partner commitments, supplier participation and confirmation of a second edition will show whether Drink Las Vegas can become a durable fixture in the hospitality calendar rather than a one year collection of premium experiences.
