Who Should Attend

Evaluate new equipment, seeds, breeds, and farming techniques, all 12 Moroccan regions and delegations from across sub-Saharan Africa represented under one roof

Reach farmers and distributors across Morocco and West Africa. Professional days (Apr 20–22) concentrate purchasing-decision-makers with fewer general visitors

International Agri-Business Buyers and Exporters

Source certified Moroccan agricultural products, negotiate supply contracts, and meet cooperatives and regional producers that are otherwise difficult to reach collectively

Researchers, Students, and Agricultural Institutions

Engage with 40+ expert conferences on food sovereignty, animal production sustainability, and climate-resilient farming. Government ministries and international NGOs send formal delegations

Top Reasons to Attend

1

Africa's Largest Agricultural Exhibition

200,000m² across 12 thematic zones, the largest agricultural event on the African continent. No comparable gathering in Africa combines livestock, machinery, agri-food, digital innovation, and regional products at this scale, making it the reference event for the region

2

Direct Access to Moroccan Agricultural Producers

All 12 Moroccan regions are represented under one roof, including women's cooperatives, certified organic producers, and local artisans otherwise difficult to reach collectively. Morocco's agricultural sector contributes 12–14% of GDP and SIAM is the single access point to all of it

3

Livestock Competitions and Formal Breeding Evaluations

The Livestock Center hosts live animal competitions and breeding evaluations covering cattle, sheep, goats, and equines. Breeders study genetics and connect with suppliers while general visitors watch competitions, one of the few events in Africa where this happens at scale

4

40 Expert Conferences on Food Sovereignty

The 2026 theme drives sessions on veterinary science, feed efficiency, traceability, and agricultural policy. Government ministers, international institutions, and development organizations participate directly, not just observe

5

Portugal as Country of Honor, Bilateral Trade Spotlight

Each edition's guest country brings a dedicated national pavilion with its own business program. Portugal's 2026 participation creates focused Luso-Moroccan agri-food exchanges and a direct bridge between European and West African agricultural markets

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. What are the exact dates and hours for SIAM 2026?

The Morocco International Agricultural Show (SIAM) runs Monday April 20 through Sunday April 26, 2026 at the École d'Horticulture – Jnan Ben Halima, Meknès. Hours are 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM daily without exception. Monday April 20 (following the royal inauguration), Tuesday 21, and Wednesday 22 are professional-priority days. Thursday April 23 through Sunday April 26 are open to both professionals and the general public. Single-entry tickets only,  re-entry is not permitted on the same day.

2. How much do tickets cost and where can I buy them?

Based on the 2025 edition, adult tickets were approximately 40 MAD (roughly €4), with children at approximately 10 MAD. The 2026 ticket pricing had not been published at time of writing — verify and purchase directly at salon-agriculture.ma before the event. Tickets are valid for single entry only. Online purchase is recommended to guarantee entry, as the show targets over one million visitors across seven days.

3. What are the best days to visit for professional networking versus avoiding crowds?

For focused B2B meetings, visit Monday–Wednesday (April 20–22). These professional-priority days concentrate purchasing managers, institutional buyers, government delegations, and international exhibitors, with significantly smaller general public numbers. Morning hours (9 AM–12 PM) work best for stand meetings. Thursday through Sunday attract much larger crowds including families and general visitors, excellent atmosphere but less suited to quiet business conversations.

4. How do I get from the airport to SIAM Meknès?

The closest airport is Fès-Saïss (FEZ), 66km from Meknès (~1 hour by road). From FEZ: take Line 16 bus to Fès train station (4 MAD, ~40 min), then the ONCF Al Atlas train to Meknès (~37 min, ~25 MAD 2nd class). Total cost ~29 MAD, total time ~1h30. A direct grand taxi from FEZ to Meknès costs approximately €60 (MAD 650), confirm fare before entering. From Meknès train station, petit taxis to the venue cost ~20–30 MAD. On-site parking for 3,000+ vehicles is available if driving.

5. Is English sufficient or do I need French or Arabic?

Arabic and French are the two primary working languages of SIAM. International pavilions and multinational exhibitor stands typically have English-speaking staff. Conferences and competition commentary run in French without live translation. Smaller Moroccan cooperatives and regional producers often communicate in Arabic or Darija only. For serious trade negotiations with Moroccan buyers or farmers, French-language materials — brochures, price lists, catalogues — are strongly recommended. Translation apps handle most informal situations.

6. How do I register as an exhibitor at SIAM 2026?

Exhibitor registration is managed through the official portal at expo.salon-agriculture.ma. The Participation Information section of the official site (salon-agriculture.ma) covers thematic zone options, floor plan allocation, pricing, and deadlines. Contact the organizers directly at contact@salon-agriculture.ma or call +212 535 486 028. The show is organized by the Moroccan Ministry of Agriculture and the Association of the International Agricultural Show in Morocco.
